REMOVAL OF BIBS:

Riders must go to the Marathon Village (Place du 16 Novembre) during the 2 days preceding the race to pick up their bibs.

Friday 13th to Saturday 14th of January  2022:
Removal of bibs at the marathon village. Tent: ESCAPES
Place du 16 novembre, Harti gardens in Marrakech Gueliz (Next to the central post office in Guéliz)

HOURS

  • Friday, May 13th, 2022 10 am-7pm
  • Saturday, May 14th 2022 10 am-7pm

Your race number will be given to you upon presentation of your passport.
(Passport required for Morocco!)

Saturday, May 14th 2022:

10:00 am: Meeting at the marathon village for the “welcome run”, jogging of

5 kms open to all.

10:30 am: children’s race

REGISTRATION:

COURSE:

DEPARTURE / ARRIVAL: AVENUE DE LA MENARA, behind the hotel SOFITEL and very close to the hotel LA MAMOUNIA.

7:30 for the half marathon.

Time limit for the half marathon: 3h00.

route :

Regulated distances: 21,097 for the half marathon, approved by an international official expert (I.A.A.F – A.I.M.S.). The course is flat and fast, despite some fake flat amounts in the palm grove, to achieve a performance and try to beat the world record of 2h03’59 ”..

DURING THE RACE:

  • The refreshment points are installed every 5 km (water, slices of oranges), as well as on arrival.
  • The sponges, every 5 km from the 7th km.
  • Timing posted regularly along the route and by a clock on arrival.
  •  Markings of the course materialized on the ground and by panels.
  • Partial times on the 10th and 30th kilometers for the marathon, on the 10th kilometer for the half marathon.
  • Security is provided by the Marrakech Wilaya and the red crescent. Bicycles, wheeled and / or motorized vehicles are strictly forbidden on the course.
  •  A medal will be awarded to all ranked riders.

REWARDS:

Awards ceremony on May 15th Sunday  at the starting and finishing arches, Avenue de la Menara.

  • 11h30: Presentation of the Half and Marathon Prizes
  • 11:45: children’s and veterans’ race awards ceremony
